Culture of Integrity
Three years ago, Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle, DD, challenged the Catholic faithful in the Philippines to fight the culture of corruption with the culture of integrity. He stressed that we can cultivate this virtue and create this culture by being men and women of our word. We have to walk our talk starting in our families, in our homes and in our schools, he said. Make tha One Great Leap
by David Anton Servando
We have already made our first big step. As we approach a new chapter in our lives, change is surely unavoidable. As Robert Gallagher said, change is inevitable. New challenges, processes and relationships are what we will face as we will make that one great leap. Life will be much more toughter, more challenging, but with a great sense of optimism, we will face every battle ahead.
As we look back on our journey that started in nursery school, we have seen every changes in us - we grow physically, we matured, we somehow begin to craft the path of our own perspectives in life. And now, we will make this one great leap to face the so called "high-school life."
But first, let me recognize the people who helped us today. To our parents and teachers who guided and cared for us, we appreciate all the blood, sweat and tears that you have invested for us. We can only promise to try our very best on the next stage of our lives so that we can do at least half of your hard work for our very own children someday.
Thanks to you, our family, friends and teachers, we have lent a helping hand for us not only to achieve our goals but also to surpass every rough challenge. Thank you for all the support, love and care. This is your graduation as well because you have been with us every step of the way.
And of course, to my dear batchmates, as we will make this one great leap, remember to always be passionate, work hard, practice our good values and always put God first. May we bravely accept these changes for the better and turn them into productive realizations and put them into actions, as well. Good luck and God bless!
