Culture of Integrity
Three years ago, Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle, DD, challenged the Catholic faithful in the Philippines to fight the culture of corruption with the culture of integrity. He stressed that we can cultivate this virtue and create this culture by being men and women of our word. We have to walk our talk starting in our families, in our homes and in our schools, he said. DBA celebrates first EPC Mass
by: Chino Deschanel C. Garcia
Don Bosco Academy Pampanga (DBA) held its very first Educative Pastoral Community (EPC) Eucharistic celebration in its gymnasium on June 9, 2017. The event highlighted the priests of the school, and gave recognition to the Lay Mission Partners.
The program started with the holy mass presided by Rev. Fr. Jose Armando Cortez SDB, the new rector of DBA. He presented himself, his past experience with the school, being the past principal and the entirety of the school’s roundabouts in his welcoming remarks.
After the said event, the Invictus participants of DBA (a student-leadership congregation) prepared an entertainment skit to
welcome the EPC. The student-leaders performed numerous dance numbers and comedy show in line with the school’s relevant topics.
“Your educators are the vital reasons why you are able to feel and experience Don Bosco within the campus, and with that- we would like to recognize our dear educators,” the current Principal of DBA, Fr. Robert Paul A. Zarate SDB, said.
The program ended with presenting the educators of the school, from the teachers to the personnel. The said people were given recognition by the priests.
After the event was settled, the Rector congratulated everyone and concluded the day with his regular praise-talk for the EPC.
“I earnestly pray that Don Bosco Academy will continue to love one another: the educators, the students and many more. Let’s all hope for the betterment of ourselves until the end of this school year.”
